Fine art giclée print: Yankee Stadium
Artist: Roustam Nour
Original medium: Watercolor on paper
For any sports fan, the old Yankee Stadium – the House that Ruth Built – is an iconic New York City image. Watercolors are the ideal means of reflecting the bright lights that burst out of the open-air stadium and the palpable excitement of fans streaming towards the entrance. The old Yankee Stadium was closed following the 2008 baseball season. The new stadium, which opened its doors in 2009, still bears the old name.
