A watercolor painting of the light tribute, honoring the 9/11 tragedy of the Twin Towers. The New York skyline shines brightly with thousands of lights from NY’s most well-known skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and Woolworth Building. The Statue of Liberty accompanies them in this scene, and boats move across the water beneath it.
Roustam Nour lives and works in New York City — the place that inspires his lively and lifelike watercolor and oil paintings. Born in Russia, he immigrated to the US in 1991. Since then, his name has become synonymous with his home city, with write ups in the New York Times and the German magazine Stern celebrating his achievements in capturing NYC on the canvas.
Nour graduated from the College of Art in Tatarstan and mastered his professional skills at Moscow State University’s Technical Design department. His work has appeared in multiple national and international exhibitions including Art Expo New York.
